Because Awaroa Lodge is beautifully secluded and with no direct road access, arrival options by water should be arranged at the time of booking.
Arrive By Boat
The access ramp at the beach at Awaroa Lodge makes getting on and off the beach hassle free – there is no need to get your feet wet. The lodge also has a 4WD buggy which can assist with transporting luggage up to the lodge; we are unable to transport guests however. The Lodge is approximately 20 minutes walk along the beach. There are a range of operators who can provide scheduled and chartered transfers
Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle -Kaiteriteri-Awaroa return
To make the water transfer a full day experience in the Park why not try a Sail & Cruise option; a one way transfer which can be done inwards or outwards from Awaroa Lodge.
It is possible to walk to the Lodge via the Abel Tasman Coastal Track - note that it is a 3-4 day walk from Marahau and you will need to consider having your luggage transported,. Please refer to www.doc.govt.nz for further information.
