Nature’s Playground

A stay at Awaroa Lodge is all about immersing yourself in the environment and enjoying a break away from the hectic pace of modern life.

We do not have TV’s at the Lodge, there is no cellphone coverage and WiFi is very limited (charges apply). Instead we have one of the country’s most loved National Parks all around us, glorious birdsong, native forest, soft sandy beaches and clear blue water….

If you are keen to have extraordinary experience in our wonderful National Park, there are many options. Enjoy a guided walk, kayak, or sail with one of our partner operators mentioned below, relax with a picnic on the famous Awaroa beach, take a dip in the ocean or take a walk through our grounds and surrounds.

For those with children, we encourage you to help them embrace this time away from the outside world and those small screens! We have a resident glow-worm dell, and a family of tame eels which you are welcome to feed (eel food available from the kitchen), there are also walking tracks to vantage points and some of the brightest starry skies in the world. On a rainy day enjoy a hot chocolate in the lounge around one of the many board games or select a book to get lost in from our library.

The wider Nelson Tasman region offers a host of Extraordinary Experiences,
featuring many of our partner operators.
